Hell of Silence Installation

I have been making light sculptures with bio-mechanical themes exploring the relationship between technology and the human body. This includes several works about extended sensory deprivation, isolation, and necromancy. My inspirations include cybernetics, black magic, demonic spirits, and visions of a post apocalyptic future.

Had some experimental film screenings in the maze. A selection of my personal favorites. Not for the faint of heart.

Hell of Silence Preview

On one of my visits to Arts Junktion I found these creepy little baby doll faces so I took them, painted them like demons, and made a skeletal body out of picture wire. I'm building a maze installation for the Hell of Silence (a multimedia art extravaganza) and am trying to decide if I'll wear this thing as a crown on my head as part of a costume or keep it in the maze. Decisions, decisions. The demons are from all different cultures and are Preta, Loki, Succubus, Apep, and Rangda.

Alana llama

Thought this up in the morning and had to do it. My friend has a studio directly below me so I drop her drawings through big hole in the floor and creep her out

The unconscious mind

Acrylic on newsprint wheat pastie.
The old water pumping station is one of my favorite buildings in Winnipeg. I really couldn't resist leaving my mark on it. What a wonderful way to end a night of Ethiopian food, silly art exhibit, and experimental noise/video show! :)

New Cubes

6 new cubic shaped lights, they look great with both LED's and energy efficient bulbs. Each shape was hand cut out of paper and glued together. I'm going to be making more of  these out of vinyl and plastic in the near future. These cubes are now being sold at the Edge Gallery. The drawing, reduction block prints, and decollage are also done by me.

Giant Cockbot!

This cockbot is 8 feet tall and coloured entirely with Sharpie markers.

Cockbot & Little Cthulhu

These posters are from earlier this year while the snow was thawing in early Spring. They do not exist on the street anymore so I'm posting them here so they can live on the internet forever. This is Cockbot's first incarnation, and since then I've taken that idea and run with it....
